Xiaomi Debuts Civi Series in India with 14 Civi Starting at Rs 45,999

The Xiaomi 14 Civi, Xiaomi’s first-ever Civi smartphone, has been released in India. Although the Civi series was first introduced in China in 2021, this is the first time an Indian Civi phone has been available. This year, the smartphone joins Xiaomi’s flagship line, which already has two models: the Xiaomi 14 (review) and Xiaomi 14 Ultra (review). Currently, the lowest priced model in the series is the Xiaomi 14 Civi. Like the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Ultra, the 14 Civi boasts blockbuster features like a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 engine, up to 12 GB of RAM, and a triple camera configuration on the back powered by Leica lenses.

Xiaomi 14 Civi: Cost and Availability

Two storage and RAM configurations of the Xiaomi 14 Civi are available for purchase. The base variant, which costs Rs 45,999, has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, while the top variant, which costs Rs 50,999, has 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

On June 20, the 14 Civi will go on sale. Flipkart and Mi.com will carry the model. Additionally, Xiaomi has revealed a few bank promotions that will give customers a Rs 3,000 save on ICICI bank cards. Along with complimentary Xiaomi priority club membership for 14 Civi customers, the launch freebies also include a 3-month subscription to YouTube Premium and a 6-month supply of 100 GB of Google One cloud storage.

Xiaomi 14 Civi: Features and Specifications

With up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset powers the Xiaomi 14 Civi. At 177g and only 72.7mm thick, the smartphone is significantly lighter than the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Ultra.

Similar to the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Ultra, the Xiaomi 14 Civi’s photography remains its greatest feature. Leica lenses including the renowned Summilix lens seen in the 14 and 14 Ultra are still used in the smartphone. Three cameras are used in the 14 Civi setup: a 50-megapixel primary camera with an optical image stabilization (OIS) system, a Light Hunter 800 image sensor, and a 25mm equivalent focal length. With a 50mm portrait focal length and 2x zoom, the second sensor is a 50-megapixel telephoto lens. Featuring a 120-degree field of view and a focal length similar to 15mm, the third camera is an ultra-wide 12-megapixel model. Rear cameras can record in HDR 4K at 30 frames per second, and they can also capture 4K films at 24/30/60 frames per second.

The Xiaomi 14 Civi has two cameras on its front: a 32-megapixel primary selfie camera and a 32-megapixel ultrawide selfie camera. Along with other modes, the front camera now offers HDR, Night mode, and 4K shooting at 30 frames per second.

A 4,700mAh battery with 67W rapid charging capabilities powers the Xiaomi 14 Civi. Xiaomi also makes use of the Xiaomi IceLoop system, a specialized cooling system. Additionally, the phone has AI face unlock and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC support are among the connectivity choices.
