KK passed away from a heart attack on May 31st of last year in Kolkata. We take a journey through his nearly 25-year musical career on the first anniversary of his passing.
Even though it has already been a year, it still takes some time for people to comprehend that singing superstar KK passed away on this day in 2016. These two initials, KK, have a great deal of meaning for his supporters all across the world. He wrote songs that always created a different vibe, and our entire generation grew up listening to them. Whether in high school, college, or the workplace, KK and his music have always been a constant. People still become homesick and desire for their pals when they hear his song Yaaron Dosti from 1999.
Songs about love that have stood the test of time include KK’s Kya Mujhe Pyar Hai from the 2006 movie Woh Lamhe and Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar from MP3. Many of his songs from various Bollywood films are still sung and hummed by us. With their hit songs, which we would sing nonstop starting in the early 1990s, numerous singers rose to fame. Sadly, we no longer recall many of the singers or their songs.
While giving a performance in Kolkata on May 31, 2022, KK suffered a heart attack and passed away. After his performance at Nazrul Manch, he felt unwell, thus he was brought to the CMRI hospital. When the physicians arrived, they pronounced him dead. Jyothy Krishna, KK’s wife, is the only survivor. Together, they are parents to Taamara and Nakul.
