Beauty pageants have been known to bring out talent for the film industry for years. In 2013, Himanee Bhatia , then credited as ‘Himani Seth’ became the winner of the beauty pageant Miss Veet Diva in Delhi University’s Sri Venkateswara College, and created a buzz in the city. She appeared in a newspaper and subsequently started getting various modelling and acting offers. Little did Himanee know while participating in the pageant that she would become an actress a few years later. Post her big win she got offers for advertisements and did them in her University days. She had no intention to pursue acting full time and calls it destiny’s plan. “When I won the beauty pageant Miss Veet Diva in college, I had no idea I wanted to be an actress” giggles Himanee.
Maybe somethings are meant to be, for Himanee left her corporate job in 2018 and shifted to Mumbai in 2019,6 years after winning the pageant. Truly, it was destiny’s plan to find her in the world of entertainment. Himanee was seen latest in the Filter Copy video ‘Others vs my bff’ as Rama.
