On May 30th, the Vivo S19 and S19 Pro are scheduled to launch officially in China. Although the firm has not disclosed any information regarding the new phones, a source has revealed the essential specifications of the Vivo S19 and S19 Pro, including the display, CPU, battery, and more. The Vivo S18 and S18 Pro, which were unveiled in China last year, will be replaced by these phones at launch.
Vivo S19, Vivo S19 Pro specifications (leaked)
The main features and characteristics of the new Vivo S19 series phones have been leaked by tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo.
The Vivo S19
Display: The 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED display on the Vivo S19 is expected to have a maximum brightness of 4500 nits. By contrast, the Vivo S18 has a comparable display with a maximum brightness of just 2800 nits.
Chipset: As per the tipster, the upcoming S19 will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, similar to the chipset provided on the predecessor.
Rear camera: Like the predecessor, the Vivo S19 is expected to have an 8MP ultra wide-angle sensor and a 50MP OIS-enabled GNJ 1/1.56-inch primary camera. A gentle ring light will be accompanied by the back sensor.
Selfie camera: Similar to the Vivo S18, the Vivo S19 may include a 50MP selfie camera.
Battery and charging: Compared to the Vivo S19, which has a 5,000mAh battery, the phone is said to have an 80W fast charging 6,000mAh battery.
Additional features include a plastic central frame and a rock-hard anti-fall structure, according to the tipster. It may have NFC, Infrared, IP64 water and dust resistance, and so forth.
The Vivo S19 Pro
Display: The Pro model is said to include a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED curved screen with a peak brightness of 4500 nits, just like the Vivo S19. The Vivo S18 additionally boasted a max brightness of 2800 nits.
Chipset: The MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC is expected to power the Vivo S19 Pro. Notably, the same chipset was also included in the Vivo S18 Pro.
Back camera: According to DCS, the phone will have a 50MP Sony IMX921 VCS 1/1.56-inch primary sensor with OIS enabled, an 8MP ultra wide-angle sensor, a 50MP OIS-enabled telephone sensor with 50X digital zoom, and a soft ring light. A 12M telephoto portrait sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 50MP primary sensor are all available on the S18.
Selfie camera: Like the Vivo S19 and its predecessor, it is expected to include a 50MP sensor up front.
Battery and charging: The Pro version’s battery is probably going to be smaller than the S19’s, at 5,500mAh. It is expected that the charging speeds would remain the same, though. Moreover, the battery capacity of the previous was limited to 5,000mAh.
Other features: According to the tipster, the phone may have IP69, IP68, or IP64 classifications, which correspond to varying levels of dust and water resistance. It will also have stereo twin speakers, infrared, and NFC, among other things.
It is important to note that these specs are conjecture and rumor-based; OPPO will provide all the information at the launch event, which is set to happen in China this week.
