EndTheVape Health Initiative, the 501(c) 3 youth run organization aims to end the vaping epidemic among young individuals, specifically GenZ.
Jacob J Wood, the 19 year old generation Z activist based out of Utah has launched a non-profit to end youth vaping. “EndTheVape Health Initiative” aims to end the vaping epidemic among young individuals, specifically GenZ.
According to Jacob, the President of the EndTheVape Health Initiative, “Through legislation and educating the youth, we seek to dramatically change the course of the vaping crisis.” He further adds, “As of November 2020, there have been 2251 cases of vaping related lung illnesses reported. EndTheVape Health Initiative seeks to put an end to this epidemic effectively.”
The efforts of the 501(c) 3 youth run organization are focused on getting two solutions implemented. Firstly, the organization suggests raising the legal age of vaping to 21. “By raising the age to 21 you limit youth from using vaping and e-cigs products until they reach the appropriate age.”
Secondly, EndTheVape Health Initiative also proposes to regulate vaping flavors and THC. Regulating flavor will help deter youth from wanting to use vaping products. On the other hand, in nearly fifty percent of the over 2,000 reported cases due to vaping related lung diseases, the probable cause was found to be the use of THC in vaping products. The President of the organization adds, “By regulating THC or even banning it in some circumstances, you cut off the huge rate of vaping related lung illnesses.
According to the organization, these goals can be made possible by running ads that promote the reality behind vaping. Through celebrity partnerships and other integrations, the organization seeks to reach out to youth and spread the message.
