The Oppo A79 5G Has Been Rebranded As The OnePlus Nord N30 SE 5G

An entry-level smartphone for a few global markets was recently quietly released by OnePlus. The OnePlus Nord N30 SE 5G is the product’s official name. The 2022 OnePlus Nord N20 SE is succeeded by this model.

With two significant improvements, the most recent model is introduced. It sports a higher-resolution display and a more potent chipset that is enabled for 5G.

Nevertheless, the new phone is simply an Oppo handset under a different brand, just like the previous generation model.

A rebranded Oppo A79 5G is the recently released OnePlus Nord N30 SE 5G. Another name for the smartphone is Oppo A2 5G. Late October and early November saw the official launch of these two products.

The older OnePlus Nord N20 SE, in contrast, is simply an Oppo A77 with a new name.

Powering the Nord N30 SE 5G is a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 SoC. On the other hand, its predecessor’s MediaTek Helio G35 chip, which is limited to 4G, is slower.

The phone also sports a larger, 6.72-inch FHD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) centered punch-hole LCD (refresh rate: 90 Hz) display. On the other hand, the previous generation phone boasts a smaller 6.56-inch HD+ resolution LCD panel with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a dewdrop notch.

Both devices have nearly identical remaining specifications. With an 8MP selfie camera, dual stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 5,000mAh battery, and 33W wired charging support, they come with a 50MP (wide) + 2MP (depth) dual camera setup also.

The OnePlus Nord N30 SE’s availability and price were unknown at the time this article was written.
