The OnePlus Ace 3’s design has been officially unveiled; check out the Sand Gold version first

Although an official confirmation of the launch date is still pending, OnePlus is anticipated to make the announcement of the OnePlus Ace 3 on January 4, 2024, in China. In spite of the uncertainty surrounding the launch date, OnePlus has released a teaser video revealing an attractive Sand Gold color variant and providing a glimpse into the device’s design.

In the video, the circular camera module on the back of the OnePlus Ace 3 is highlighted. While an alert slider is located on the left edge, the right side features a power key and volume rocker. A microphone, an IR blaster, and a speaker hole seem to be located on the top edge of the Ace 3. Notably, OnePlus has not yet released any official information about the specifications of the smartphone, and the teaser does not show off the front design of the device.

The OnePlus Ace 3 is reportedly going to have a 6.78-inch curved-edge OLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz and 1.5K resolution. It will run Android 14 with ColorOS 14 and feature an in-screen fingerprint scanner for security.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, 12 GB or 16 GB LPDDR5x RAM, 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB UFS 4.0 storage, and a 5,500mAh battery with 100W charging are all included in the Ace 3. Its front will sport a 16-megapixel selfie camera, while its rear panel is expected to house a 2-megapixel macro, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and an OIS-capable 50-megapixel primary camera (IMX890). It is most likely going to start at 3,299 Yuan (~$460) when it arrives.

On January 23, the Ace 3 will go on sale worldwide under the OnePlus 12R brand. The OnePlus 12 and a few other devices will be released at the aforementioned event.
