The newest wearable using Wear OS 5 is the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4

Samsung is nearing the end of its protracted One UI 6 Watch deployment, which updates all of its Wear OS smartwatches to Wear OS 5. The One UI 6 Watch update for the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic is available to Korean users as of today, according to a post on Samsung’s community forums. Only the Galaxy Watch 4 series’ Bluetooth variants are currently eligible for the upgrade, and it is only accessible in Korea at this time.

This indicates that Samsung’s Wear OS watches, ranging from the most affordable Galaxy Watch FE to the oldest Galaxy Watch 4, are starting to upgrade to the One UI 6 Watch. The Galaxy Watch’s Bluetooth variants will initially get the update in a limited regions, as is customary. LTE-equipped models will then be eligible for an upgrade over the next several days and weeks, and it will expand into new areas. When it comes to One UI 6 Watch upgrades, North American units are frequently in the back of the line.

The incorporation of health-related features is a fundamental component of the One UI 6 Watch update. In order to assist wearers enhance their health and fitness, Samsung is relying on the integration of Galaxy AI and Samsung Health. Samsung’s version of Garmin’s Body Battery is called Energy Score, while Sleep Analysis measures how well you slept. Initially available only on the latest models of the Galaxy Watch, these functionalities are gradually being added to the earlier devices.

For the Galaxy Watch 4, Samsung first promised software updates for up to four years, although this isn’t really a firm commitment. The software support for the outdated smartwatch, however, seems to be coming to an end. The Galaxy Watch 4 has little chance of making it to Wear OS 6, as Wear OS 5.1 appears to be a minor update based on Android 15.

However, software support for the Galaxy Watch 4 has been better than it usually is for the initial generation of any product line. From Wear OS 3 to Wear OS 5, it has enjoyed a successful run with software updates.
