The all-new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset-powered Realme GT 5 Pro was unveiled yesterday at a launch event held in China by Realme. Pre-orders for the device are now being accepted, and it will go on sale on December 14. The company discussed the market reaction to the GT 5 Pro on Weibo shortly after it was made available for pre-order.
Pre-sale of Realme GT 5 Pro
According to Realme’s official announcement, the Realme GT 5 Pro experienced a remarkable increase in pre-sale volume, surpassing the GT Neo 5’s pre-sale volume for the entire day in just one hour. When compared to the same period last year for the GT 2 Pro, the first day of pre-sale for the GT5 Pro showed an astounding tenfold increase.
The GT 5 Pro has garnered praise from Realme and its Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) in China, Xu Qi, for its remarkable value for money. In the Chinese market, the smartphone competes with the likes of other Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 flagship phones, including the Redmi K70 Pro, the Meizu 21, the Xiaomi 14 series, and the OnePlus 12.
The Realme GT 5 Pro is the company’s first smartphone with a periscope telephoto camera, an IP64-rated chassis, an aluminum alloy frame, USB 3.2 capability, and wireless charging up to 50W. On its first sale, the phone will be sold with a 100 Yuan discount, even though the 12 GB RAM + 256 GB variant starts at 3,399 Yuan (~$477).
