At the French Riviera, Sunny Leone is preparing for her Cannes 2023 premiere. On Wednesday, the famous film festival will host the world premiere of Anurag Kashyap’s film Kennedy. The actress has been experiencing “severe anxiety” before making her red carpet debut. On day six of the major event, Sunny Leone spoke candidly about the “pressure of the red carpet,” the choice of her film, and her appearance for the big day in an interview with Anupama Chopra’s Film Companion.
“My anxiety is serious, and I mean bad. Although I haven’t previously walked the red carpet, I believe the pressure is there since it involves me and much more than that. The sentiment behind this specific picture, the sense that it was chosen by such an esteemed jury and that it was made by Kennedy and was appreciated by them, leading them to say, “Yes, we want your film to be a part of this festival.” It simply has greater meaning now.
When discussing her first red carpet appearance, Sunny Leone said that she doesn’t care about “what other people think I should wear.” The actress noted, “Something that I find very odd is the very first question people ask, ‘What are you going to wear?'” I don’t know, maybe I’ll dress up? Just what it is, I’m not sure.
“There is a lot of anxiousness. I have been viewing people online, and everyone is very attractive and expresses themselves uniquely. I sincerely hope that my expression of what I believe to be lovely and attractive is well received by everyone, Sunny Leone stated in a video taken at the Frankfurt airport.
