The New York drill scene has taken the Hip-Hop music industry to new heights since 2019, first with Pop Smoke’s “Welcome To The Party” and more recently with high energy singles like “Headshot” by Fivio Foreign. New York has always been a diverse landscape in which multiple styles of music thrive and are originated from. Right now, many say it is the golden age for New York where we see many artists coming up and bringing their talents to the mainstream.
Shaun Enzo is an artist who is next up from New York, bringing his own brand of rap to the spotlight. Recently releasing his first single, “Again” on all streaming platforms, it has seen a rise on multiple social media platforms. We hear a sound that is very different from other New York artists. He calls it “High Fashion Rap” in which various artistic elements are fused together to create a sound which is different and can be a soundtrack while you shop at Fendi or Louis Vuitton. Inspired by Drake, Travis Scott & Migos – Shaun Enzo wants to create his own brand of rap in which he explores various differently styles of rap without a label. His unreleased music which he has shown on his Instagram ranges from R&B, Drill, Trap to even Pop.
Simultaneously, Shaun Enzo is exploring both the world of rap & high fashion – Valenci, is his luxury streetwear brand in which he is blending premium luxury feel with edgy streetwear aesthetic. Releasing his first EP later this year along with the Valenci Spring/Summer 2021 collection. Shaun Enzo is poised to be one of the next biggest artists from New York City & we look forward to what he has in store for the upcoming year and beyond.
