Seth VanDaele’s Cormier Media was founded in early 2020. What began as a small digital marketing agency eventually transformed into a hub in itself.
In 2021, social distancing is the new lifestyle. The offline businesses and industries are facing backlash due to Covid restrictions. It is a clear indication for the millennials to pivot to the digital way. Mr. Seth shares his rules to make a sizable impact when you start off your entrepreneurial journey.
Why Become A Digital Entrepreneur?
“On average, more than 1.3 million new users joined social media every day during 2020, equating to roughly 15½ new users every single second.” – Hootsuite (2021)
There’s a humongous clientele waiting for your ideas to manifest into reality. The online market has no boundaries and no working hours. The future ahead is all digital. All it takes is for you to realize the potential of the internet. So, let’s roll into the details!
Be Ready To Fail
You won’t always get to see instant results. This might leave you discouraged at some points in your journey but it’s absolutely alright. This journey won’t be fun without failures! Cry on your failures, complain about them, but be back afresh. Bounce back quicker and this time, stronger than your last failure and all set to combat another.
The bunch of your small wins over every failure will define your success.
“There are no shortcuts to success because success isn’t reaching the finish line, success is the journey to get there.”- Seth VanDaele.
Making Quick Pivots
Walking on the entrepreneurial path isn’t a cakewalk. Working on weekends, many sleepless nights, missing parties, and vacations, everything comes along. After burning the candle at both ends, if you choose to stick to the roadmap you had crafted at the beginning, you might push away the favorable results.
Seth VanDaele’s Cormier Media is a case in point. At the beginning of 2020, as the founding members came together, the brand leaned more towards film production as “Cormier Company”. They filmed and edited sentimental videos for a wedding, gender reveal, and even a funeral as Covid restrictions prohibited family and loved ones from attending. When that didn’t work out, they went out knocking on businesses’ doors in order to start establishing personalized trade relations. Even that didn’t work out. Now, the company pivoted quickly to help the companies affected by the pandemic. And, then the company started growing by leaps and bounds.
Upset Your Competitors
When Seth VanDaele was asked how do you beat your competitors, he said –
“It’s simple, you work them out in every way you can. That means late nights and early mornings without pay, that means weeks of hard work with no progress, and still staying motivated enough to do it all again tomorrow. These things are necessary to get ahead in any industry.”
Upset your competitors with hard work, with small signs of progress, with a faithful clientele, and of course with a big smile!
