Schnucks, Dierbergs expecting clients to wear face covers at its stores

St. Louis’ Schnucks and Dierbergs stores will expect clients to wear a face veil or covering while at the same time shopping in its stores beginning one week from now.

The prerequisite will start on Monday, July 20, at all Schnucks stores and each of the 25 Dierbergs areas.

There are exemptions for small kids (younger than 9) and individuals with ailments who can’t wear a face veil or covering.

Schnucks and Dierbergs will give complimentary veils, one for each client, temporarily and keeping in mind that provisions last.

“From the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, we moved quickly to respond to the ever-changing environment and prioritize safety and cleanliness in our stores,” said Schnucks Chairman and CEO Todd Schnuck.

“As a business serving thousands of customers each week, it is important that we take every precaution possible to protect the safety of customers and associates while inside our stores,” said Greg Dierberg, CEO of Dierbergs Markets.
