Samsung Announces the Official Launch of One UI 7 Beginning April

Samsung Electronics revealed that the official launch of One UI 7 will commence on April 7, introducing a daring new design for enhanced personalization and control in the user experience. The new AI-focused interface of One UI 7 helps users engage with their Galaxy devices more intuitively than ever. The update will begin with the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Z Flip6, and will gradually be available on more Galaxy smartphones and tablets.

Effective new design for enhanced personalization

With its straightforward, striking and emotive design, One UI 7 provides Galaxy users with a streamlined and cohesive experience. The home screen has been simplified, One UI widgets have been redesigned, and the lock screen has been revamped, enabling users to customize their devices in an intuitive and seamless manner.

The Now Bar offers real-time updates that are most important directly on the lock screen, for added convenience. During a morning run, users can easily monitor their progress and find out what song is playing in their Galaxy Buds with a simple swipe, without needing to unlock their phone.

Intuitive Experience Enhanced by More Intelligent AI Features

One UI 7 offers smooth, AI-powered experiences designed to keep users productive and encourage creative exploration.

Galaxy AI enables users to streamline their daily tasks, reducing the necessity of toggling between apps. AI Select makes intuitive recommendations by grasping the context. For instance, while viewing a video, a user can easily swipe the Edge Panel and tap the ‘AI Select’ icon to save it as a GIF file. Writing Assist provides users with the ability to easily summarize or automatically format content where text selection is possible.

With One UI 7, users can make simple edits, allowing for greater creative control and freedom. With Drawing Assist, you can bring ideas to life using multiple inputs, such as a mix of text prompts and images or sketches. By isolating categories of sounds and eliminating unwanted noise in videos, Audio Eraser makes advanced editing available to everyone.

With a more profound integration of Google Gemini, managing the device is as simple as chatting with a friend. Press the side button for a while and state, “Find Italian restaurants that allow pets and have outdoor seating nearby.” With Gemini, recommendations are instantly displayed in a single seamless interaction.

Natural language search now includes Settings, simplifying the process of adjusting preferences. Users can just enter Settings and state, “My eyes are feeling tired.” In a flash, suggested alternatives like modifying brightness or activating Eye comfort shield pop up.

Accessibility

The rollout of One UI 7 will commence on April 7, with an expansion to additional Galaxy smartphones and tablets in the subsequent weeks. This includes the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6, Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5, as well as the Galaxy Tab S10 series and Galaxy Tab S9 series.
