Epic Games and the Capturing Reality team have officially released RealityScan 1.5, an updated version of their free-to-download photogrammetry tool for Apple and Android smartphones that includes a slew of new features aimed at making your workflows more efficient and simple.
The release’s centerpiece is RealityScan’s new functionality, which allows users to easily download processed 3D models to their devices for local storage or sharing. Downloads are available in OBJ file on iOS devices and GLB format on Android. Please keep in mind that projects produced with prior app versions must be reprocessed before being visualized and downloaded in 1.5.
Furthermore, with this version, cropping is now performed on your device rather than on the server, making it nearly fast. You can now crop your models with a cylindrical volume, which is perfect for round objects like vases and tables.
Furthermore, the updated edition of RealityScan includes a revised project list with a fresh new style that is not only more visually appealing but also more practical, allowing you to check the size of each project and use filters for better navigation.
