Pixel Weather Map Is Absent At The Moment

The Pixel Weather app lost its 6-hour radar map as of Friday, following the introduction of a search and view capability earlier this week.

The Weather map displays a 6-hour precipitation forecast covering the “US, UK and most EU countries excluding Italy and Luxembourg.”

Even without nearby precipitation, the card could still be tapped to open a fullscreen view. Your screen is mostly occupied by the map, which has a 6-hour timeline at the bottom and a play/pause button. This weather map uses the same model as Google Nowcast.

As with the other blocks, you can drag the map to your preferred position.

Today, the Pixel Weather map is no longer visible to people, as the card has disappeared completely from the city view. It has disappeared from all areas, even those with active rainfall, indicating that it is likely not a change in behavior.

The remaining blocks are still available, including: AI Weather Report, Hourly forecast, 10-day forecast, Precipitation, Wind, Sunrise & sunset, UV index, Air quality, Visibility, Humidity, and Pressure.

It is absent starting from version 1.0.20250127.729684887 of Pixel Weather, likely due to a server-side modification. Every Pixel phone and tablet is affected.
