Titanium is the primary material used in the new design of the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max.Having used the 15 Pro Max since its introduction, can attest that it is a well-designed phone that addresses the Stainless Steel iPhone 14 Pro Max’s sharper, boxier design and heavier weight. These fresh mockups appear to indicate that Apple is keeping with the same style and build for the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.
Mockups of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max have been posted by MacRumors. Based on Apple’s internal designs are these mockups.
These mockups provide a good idea of what the Pro iPhones of 2024 would look like, however the final product may still differ.
It would be difficult to discern any significant differences between the iPhone 15 Pro series and the iPhone 16 Pro series at first glance. Apple intends to stick with its Grade 5 Titanium frame and curved edge design.
The larger displays on the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max are what will make them different. There will be a display increase for the iPhone 16 Pro (codename Diablo) from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches, and a display increase for the iPhone 16 Pro Max (codename Lightning) from 6.7 inches to 6.9 inches. According to the article, the smaller iPhone’s requirement to fit the periscope zoom camera could be the only reason for this size increase. Apple therefore needs to increase the phone’s internal loudness.
Apple is rumored to have tested four different button configurations before deciding on the one from last year, albeit slightly different. The iPhone 16 Pro series will have a capacitive button on the right side known as the “Capture” button, which also functions as a force sensor. Previous rumors have indicated that recording videos might be accomplished using this button.
The mmWave antenna on US mmWave iPhones will now be on the left side of the phone due to the Capture button’s placement beneath the power button. Unlike the power and volume buttons, this new button will be flush with the frame because it is capacitive.
