More subtleties are turning out about Meghan Markle’s child shower in New York City yesterday, including direct declaration from one of Meghan’s visitors, CBS anchor Gayle King. King was on CBS This Morning, where she discussed what it resembled to go to the party, alongside the one thing Meghan held off doing amid it for Prince Harry.
While Meghan’s visitors filled a crib with gifts, and many were shot conveying bags in, King clarified that Meghan didn’t open one single present there. “She didn’t open any of the gifts because she wants to do that when she and Harry are back together.”
“A good time was had by all, that’s what I’ll say,” King began when asked about the shower.
Meghan is “a very private person,” King introduced it.
“I think she should decide what wants to say about this, but I hope she won’t mind me sharing this because I’ve never seen anything like this at a baby shower. They did flower decorations. They had flower arranging; they brought in someone to explain how to arrange flowers.”
“We each all made an individual vase, and then Meghan…got in touch with an organisation I’ve never heard of but Repeat Roses, and all of those were donated to different charities. I thought that was a very sweet thing. It just speaks to who she is. She’s very kind, she’s very generous, and a really, really sweet person. I think her friends just wanted to celebrate her. Serena and her best friend who’s been her best friend since she was 17, Genevieve [Hillis], and her friend Jessica Mulroney. Those were the three women who put it all together. It was a very, very small, private affair and just a very special time for her.”
