The Dimensity 9300+, a cutting-edge SoC from MediaTek, was just released. Its goal is to improve performance in flagship smartphones. Clock speeds, AI processing, and graphics have all improved with the most recent Dimensity model, the 9300.
Using a third-generation TSMC 4nm process, the Dimensity 9300+ boasts an All-Big-Core architecture. The SoC consists of four Cortex-A720 cores, three more Cortex-X4 cores, and a primary Arm Cortex-X4 core with a maximum clock speed of 3.4 GHz. Strong multitasking and efficiency are delivered by this fundamental configuration.
MediaTek’s most recent NeuroPilot Speculative Decode Acceleration technology is integrated into the chipset’s generative AI engine. With this configuration, scalability up to 33 billion parameters and efficient support for large language models ranging from 1 billion to 13 billion parameters are possible. At a rate of 22 tokens per second, the AI engine can execute models with seven billion parameters, which doubles the throughput of comparable competitive mass-market solutions.
A 2nd generation hardware ray tracing engine and an Arm Immortalis-G720 GPU are included in the Dimensity 9300+’s graphics configuration. With a fluid 60 frames per second and lifelike global illumination effects, this combination delivers console-level gameplay.
Additional optimizations are supported by MediaTek’s HyperEngine technologies, such as Adaptive Gaming Technology, which increases power efficiency, and a new Network Observation System, which improves Wi-Fi/Cellular dual-network concurrency for increased network reliability.
Low-light conditions can be accommodated with 18-bit RAW photo processing thanks to the integrated Imagiq 990 image signal processor. In order to reduce noise and improve color during real-time video capture, it also has an AI Semantic Analysis Video Engine. In the meantime, AI depth engine technologies are used by the MiraVision 990 engine to enhance video quality and depth.
Developers can create on-device generative AI applications with text, images, and music thanks to the chipset’s support for LoRA Fusion and NeuroPilot LoRA Fusion 2.0. The 5G R16 modem built into the SoC also offers 7Gbps downlink speeds and supports 4CC-CA Sub-6GHz.
