Created by Houston hip-hop veteran Tink, AREA57 Music Group represents the future of the genre. The artists and producers behind the label have spent years perfecting their craft. While AREA57’s first official releases as a label came in 2015, their roots go much deeper. It started in 2001 as a group of Houston’s top producers. Working with artists including Mike Jones, Devin the Dude, and Lil Flip just to name a few, the group earned a reputation for top quality releases.
Producer Tink was the man who would go on to mastermind the future of the organization. His prolific career as both a rapper and producer gave him a unique insight into the way the industry worked. He proved himself to be an incredibly savvy businessman, stepping away from the production board and taking charge of the AREA57 brand. Since then, AREA57 has released multiple chart topping singles as well as songs that have been nationally broadcast on Love & Hip-Hop, and they are only getting started.
