We chatted with award-winning soprano singer-songwriter Liza Jane who has released her new contemporary opera infused single, ‘Unbreakable’ to coincide with national breast awareness month.
Can you tell us a bit about your new record ‘Unbreakable’?
My new record ‘Unbreakable’ is an anthem I wrote to inspire others especially women to keep fighting and overcoming any obstacles they face in life. I wrote this from a personal experience, and I think we all can relate. It’s important we get up and keep trying and remember that things will get better. As my lyrics say, We are fighters, warriors, and survivors.
We love the music video! Can you explain the inspiration behind it?
Thank you!! I wanted to have a group of empowering and inspiring women in the video. That is why I included them as great back-up dancers. It was a fun experience and I think it added to the message and, of course, I learned a lot from it as well.
Were there any challenges during filming?
The filming went smoothly, but we had to make sure that we timed the sunset. We also had to avoid oncoming traffic in the street while filming.
What do you hope people will take away from the new song?
I am hoping it will give people comfort and inspiration to be strong and to remember that they have power – power of the mind. They can overcome any encountered difficulty. I hope this will give people self-confidence and self-love.

I plan to release my new EP and perform live!
