Leaked: Moto G85 5G Smartphone Suggests Imminent Launch

The Moto G84 5G smartphone was introduced in Australia in November 2023, and Motorola is currently getting ready to introduce the Moto G85 5G, its successor.

A European retailer’s website has listed the smartphone, indicating that a launch date may be approaching.

According to the listing, the 12GB/256GB model costs about €300 (or roughly A$487).

The Moto G84 5G retails for A$399 in Australia and can be purchased through JB Hi-Fi and the official Motorola website. A$449 is the price on JB Hi-Fi.

Although the listing suggests a potential launch in the second half of 2024, Motorola has not yet made an official announcement about this smartphone.

The 6.55-inch FHD+ pOLED display that came with the predecessor has a refresh rate of 120Hz and a brightness of up to 1300nits.

With 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM, it is powered by a Snapdragon 695 processor. Upgrading to 1TB is possible.

There’s a 16MP front camera, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 50MP back camera with optical image stabilization.

Recently, Motorola introduced the Moto Edge 50 Fusion and Moto Edge 50 Pro smartphones in Australia.

Equipped with a 50MP primary camera and a 10MP 3x telephoto camera, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro boasts rounded corners, an aluminum frame that has been sandblasted, and an IP68 rating for protection against dust and water.

The 6.7-inch pOLED display on the phone has 1,220p resolution, a refresh rate of 144Hz, and Moto AI as well. It can be used with the new Moto Buds+ to support Dolby Head Tracking and Dolby Atmos.
