A 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon that showed up in a Super Bowl commercial featuring entertainer Bill Murray is currently available to be purchased at a vehicle dealership in Michigan’s Thumb district.
Denny King, salesman and internet sales manager at Moore Auto Group in Caro, said Chrysler requested to obtain the orange, or “Punk’n”- colored, Jeep for a TV commercial in January, yet he and his associates didn’t know until the morning after the Super Bowl that it had been for the “Groundhog Day” propelled ad.
In the 1993 film “Groundhog Day,” Murray plays the role of a TV meteorologist who finds himself remembering that day again and again.
Lord, who considers himself a Jeep enthusiast, first observed the commercial when it publicized during the Super Bowl and got affirmation the next morning that the dealership’s obtained Gladiator Rubicon had shown up in it, alongside the second vehicle of a similar model.
“It was my favorite one immediately,” King said of the commercial. “But, I’m a Jeep guy.”
Expression of the Jeep’s Super Bowl connection spread on Facebook after it came back to the dealership on Feb. 7. It has a retail cost of $57,350, he said.
“We’ve had people coming in getting selfies with it, all kinds of crazy stuff,” King said. “My Facebook blew up yesterday.”
Lord said it has been a “neat experience.”
“I wish Bill Murray would have signed it,” he laughed.
Moore Auto Group is situated at 1725 West Caro Road.
