As part of its celebration of its fourth year in India, iQOO has released a special “anniversary edition” of theiQOO 12. According to iQOO’s marketing, the special edition model is called Desert Red and comes in red. It will go on sale on April 9 at 12 PM. The price is the same as for the current alpha and legend editions, which are Rs 57,999 for 16GB/512GB and Rs 52,999 for 12GB/256GB.
The alpha and legend editions of the iQOO 12 come with a glass back, but the red variant has a vegan leather finish. Just so you know, iQOO’s portfolio currently includes more than just one phone in the color “red.” The noticeably dual-tone red and white iQOO Neo 9 Pro is also available for purchase from iQOO, and it is comparatively more inexpensive. The Samsung Galaxy S24 and OnePlus 12 are two flagship smartphones that the iQOO 12 competes with.
iQOO 12: Features and Specifications
1.5K (2800x1260p) resolution and 144Hz refresh rate are features of the 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display on the iQOO 12. When playing HDR content, the panel can reach a peak brightness of 1400 nits in bright outdoor lighting conditions and up to 3000 nits. An in-screen fingerprint reader for biometrics is included, along with 2160Hz PWM dimming.
512GB of UFS4.0 storage and up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM power the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor that powers the iQOO 12. The operating system, Funtouch OS 14, is based on Android 14 and promises four years of security updates in addition to three years of major OS upgrades.
The iQOO 12 boasts a triple camera setup consisting of two 50-megapixel and 64-megapixel sensors behind an ultrawide lens (150 degrees), a 70mm periscope-style telephoto lens (which offers 3x optical and up to 100x digital zoom), and a 23mm wide lens (with optical image stabilization). It has a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
A 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast wired charging completes the package.
