Chinese company OPPO has unveiled the F27 Pro+ 5G smartphone, which is scheduled to go on sale in India on June 13. The goal of the device is to be a worry-free monsoon season smartphone. OPPO bills it as the first “super-rugged, monsoon-ready smartphone” in India, citing its MIL-STD-810H method 516.8 certification and Swiss SGS 5 stars drop resistance as proof of its formidable construction. However, the IP69 classification for ingress protection against dust and water is the smartphone’s standout feature.
The F27 Pro Plus, according to OPPO, will have a USB connector, speaker apertures, a SIM card slot pinhole, and a waterproof microphone. OPPO that a silicone ring secures the USB device, and that the earpiece speaker and microphone apertures are coated with a film that lets sound through but keeps water out. According to OPPO, the gadget makes use of a novel waterproof circuit design. Additionally, the F27 Pro Plus’s display is said by OPPO to function even when hands are wet.
According to OPPO, the F27 Pro Plus features a robust construction yet weighs 177g and is 7.89mm thick. In addition, the phone’s display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
According to OPPO, the F27 Pro possesses three certifications for ingress protection (IP):
IP66 for defense against dust and continuous sprays of water
IP68 for 30 minutes of dust and water immersion protection up to 1.5 meters
IP69 for defense against high-pressure water jets and dust at temperatures as high as 80 degrees Celsius
The smartphone will be offered in a leather back and a 3D Curved AMOLED display. Leather back of the device is coated with siloxane to prevent stain resistance so that the smartphone can also be used without a the front cover of the motherboard uses a huge strength aluminium alloy, AM03. OPPO has also said the smartphone comes with a damage-proof 360-degree armour body and has been put through many internal durability tests.
