Humane criticizes smart glasses and says that it will announce its “first offerings” in spring 2023

In July, the secretive startup founded by former Apple employees released a more explicit preview of what it is building after years of teasing. Today, Humane made the announcement that its 2023 “first offerings will be announced this spring.”

Imran Chaudhri, a former Apple designer, spoke today at Voices 2022, a fashion conference organized by The Business of Fashion, about “The Post-Smartphone Era And How Ai Will Change Everything.” Humane’s social media channels confirmed the news shortly after he made the announcement at the conclusion.

The teaser only features a hand, the Humane logo, and the phrase “Spring 2023.” At that point, we will probably see both the wearable they are developing and the operating system or platform that supports it.

Humane is most likely working on an Android-powered wearable that projects a laser display on your hand, according to patents and the teaser movie for this year. With today’s hand in a similar position, the projection technology might look like this.

Meanwhile, Chaudhri criticized smart glasses for “adding a barrier between an individual and their environment,” describing them as “invasive.”Not “many people want to walk around looking like this,” according to him. This is the direction that the rest of the technology sector is taking.

Accommodating is additionally bullish on surrounding registering, similar to research, and how “technology and its functions would increasingly fade into the background.” This necessitates incorporating privacy and trust into the product and platform.
