In the era of social media, a distinction must be made between Influencers and Content Creators; Michelangelo Azzariti says: don’t call me influencer.
You call yourself a content creator and not an influencer, why?
The two categories are often confused with each other. When the work of a content creator is widely recognized, it generally becomes influential, while an influencer can often use the “spotlight” to start showing their work or projects. Many tend to summarize the difference between influencers and content creators with this phrase: “content creators are artists”, with which I fully agree.
Let’s dispel the myth that content creators don’t work then?
Yes,. the travel influencer is a real job, and for me, it is a true passion for travel that naturally led me to collaborate with important brands including Opel, North Sails, Bic and Peugeot. In addition, I also happened to start collaborations with tourism bodies, a road that I would like to continue to follow.
Speaking of the future, what do you see in yours?
I still have unclear ideas about what lies ahead. Definitely still intercontinental and European travel, perhaps a transfer abroad; it’s an experience that I miss. At the same time, I would like to continue to collaborate with tourism promotion bodies or perhaps resume studying to give my passion a base and turn it into work.
What do you think of the new Instagram policies, for example the removal of likes from photos?
Just yesterday I read an article that proposed a back of the platform. As expected, many influencers complained that removing the likes hasled to considerable difficulties in measuring the actual success of the advertising campaigns.
What advice would you like to give to those who would like to become a content creator today?
Digital marketing is a world in constant evolution. You can never stand still and you must always be updated. I do it self-taught by following tutorials on youtube and constantly informing myself. Today, however, the market is saturated, there are few who really manage to emerge, I myself hope to be able to do better and better.
