Air robotsare transforming into useful unmanned vehicles with the integration of advanced technologies across various applications. Developing at a rapid pace, especially with the proliferation of video analytics, powered by artificial intelligence, the air robots are making a huge difference by simplifying operations across various sectors.
One of the biggest trends in the security industry, air robots are ensuring security of vehicles and critical infrastructure. However, the over-reliance on GPS-enabled autonomous systems has become the Achilles heels of these unmanned aerial robotsin the long run. Thus, the need to protect them from jamming and spoofing has increased considerably. This is where Infinidome, a cyber-start-up has come up with a viable solution to keep the bad actors at aby.
Based in Israel, the company has developed a detection and protection solution for wireless communications of connected and autonomous vehicles, known as GPSdome. It is the world’s first non-military GPS anti-jammer/anti-spoofer, which is commercially available and deployed worldwide.
GPSdome protects air robots, as well as critical infrastructure and other vehicles. It is the first product of Infinidome, a company which is now making its way forward in the mobility technology after receiving funds from Rajat Khare-led Boundary Holding, a global investment firm based in Luxembourg.
The GPS jamming technique has been a big challenge, as it drowns out the transmissions from GPS satellites. Both government and private enterprises have been longing for a comprehensive solution to deal with such a volatile issue. The GPSdome has been introduced at the right time and the product is set to grab many eyeballs in the coming years.
Going forward, it would be interesting to see how GPSdome keeps evolving, especially with increasing security concerns and new developments taking place every day.
