The first batch of “self-branded” smartphones was introduced by smartphone manufacturer HMD, which also holds the brand license for Nokia phones. Today was the launch date for the HMD Pulse, HMD Pulse Plus, and HMD Pulse Pro worldwide. The Unisoc T606 processor, 5,000mAh batteries, 6.65-inch LCD screens, and other features are included in these smartphones.
HMD Pulse, HMD Pulse Plus, and HMD Pulse Pro Price
The Pulse is priced at Euro 140 (roughly Rs 12,500), while the Pulse Plus costs Euro 160 (roughly Rs 14,500) and the Pulse Pro costs Euro 180 (roughly Rs 16,000). “HMD has already announced that its self-branded devices will be available in India, so it’s possible that an India-related announcement could be made at any time.”

With 4GB/6GB of RAM in the Pulse model and 4GB/6GB/8GB in the Pulse Pro and Pulse Plus models, these smartphones are equipped with a Unisoc T606 processor. Not only does the regular Pulse have 64GB of storage, but the Pro and Plus models offer up to 128GB of storage.
With the use of a microSD card slot, all three phones offer expandable storage up to 256GB. HMD has committed to providing up to two major OS updates and three years of security patches for the Android 14 operating system that powers the phones.
With a 720p resolution, a refresh rate of 90Hz, and a maximum brightness of 600 nits, all of these smartphones share the same 6.65-inch LCD display.
The 50-megapixel primary camera on the Plus and Pro variants is larger than the 13-megapixel one on the Pulse. All three phones have a 2-megapixel depth sensor as their secondary camera. The Pulse Pro boasts a 50-megapixel front camera for selfies, while the Pulse and Pulse Plus only have an 8-megapixel camera.
The battery for the Pulse, Pulse Plus, and Pulse Pro is 5,000mAh. While the regular and Plus models support 10W charging, the Plus model supports 20W fast charging. Connectivity features on the phones include Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, Wi-Fi 5 (ac), 4G, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The “Gen 1 repairability” of all three Pulse phones enables users to replace the battery and even the screen at home with iFixit self-repair kits.
