The HMD Fusion, a mid-range smartphone with a recognizable design, is allegedly being developed by HMD Global. The Fusion borrows design elements from the current Pulse Pro, in contrast to the newly leaked HMD Skyline, which has a vintage Nokia Lumia look.
Large 6.6-inch 1080p IPS display with 120Hz refresh rate is anticipated for the Fusion. The phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G version (QCM6490), most likely with 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM. A 16MP front-facing camera, a 2MP secondary sensor, and a high-resolution 108MP primary sensor are reportedly part of the camera setup.
This next smartphone will run on a 4,800mAh battery that supports 30W rapid charging. Moreover, a 3.5mm audio jack and WiFi 6E are also included. Having said that, Fusion really stands out thanks to the pogo pins for modular accessories known as “smart outfits.” These magnetic add-ons may offer capabilities like a third rear camera, wireless charging, or even an attachment for a game controller. They also seem to allude to features like Apple’s MagSafe.
The item would weigh 200 kilos and measure 164 x 76 x 8.6 mm. Its structure will be made of recycled plastic and aluminum, according to the leak. The HMD Fusion’s anticipated release date and price are not mentioned in the leak.
In other news, HMD Global is developing the HMD Slate Tab 5G, a new tablet. This new tablet will have a design reminiscent of the Nokia Lumia and be equipped with a big 9,250mAh battery that can be charged at 30W fast charging, a 10.6-inch 90Hz IPS display, and a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC.
