In response to OpenAI’s Sora, Google’s AI video generation tool Veo 2 is now being made available to a select group of US customers.
Google stated at the Cloud Next presentation that Veo 2 is ready for production and will shortly start to be made available to users.
Though it’s only accessible in the US, BleepingComputer discovered today that some users have begun to receive early access to the Veo 2 video generator program.
Veo 2 allows you to create AI-generated videos that can obey both basic and intricate directions.
One early tester, for instance, created a film from their design using Veo 2, and the animations were perfect.
Veo 2 can currently create videos at 24 frames per second with 720p resolution.
Furthermore, the AI costs $0.35 every second of generated video, and there is a significant 8-second restriction.
Veo 2 from Google AI Studio is available for trial if you’re interested, but keep in mind that it’s still in the rollout stage and might not be available to everyone.
To view the toggle if you’re not from the US, you’ll need to utilize a VPN.
Though it’s unknown when Google will implement Veo 2 features in Gemini, BleepingComputer is aware that they will ultimately arrive.
