Google is currently developing a new user interface for the “view details” feature of the Google Messages app. This was discovered when code for the “view details” changes was uncovered in a recent beta edition of the Google Messages app for Android. At the moment, you can view details on a specific message in the app by long-pressing on it.
You may now see the time and date of a message’s sending and receiving, the sender and recipient’s phone numbers, and whether the message was delivered by RCS or SMS (Short Message Service). After the upgrade, Android Authority was able to access the new “view details” user interface and found that the feature provides additional information. The top part of the “view details” tab in the new user interface displays the message from which you are receiving all of this information, along with any emoji responses.
Additional information, such as the sender and recipient’s contact names and profile images, will be displayed at the bottom of the page. To prove who actually viewed the communication and not merely received it, read receipts are displayed. You’ll also notice if the message whose data you’re examining is a reply to another message. By tapping on a contact’s profile photo from the “view details” tab, you can check the contact’s profile details and make a call or text.
The bottom line is that with the new information that users should soon see, the “view details” page is a little more helpful. Remember that just because the upgrades to the Google Messages app are currently available does not imply that Android users will soon be able to use the improved “view details” tab.
You might wish to download the Google Play Store app and try Google Messages on your Android phone if you haven’t already. In addition to providing the “view details” function, the program supports RCS, which enables you to message an iOS user and send and receive high-quality photos and videos, see typing indicators, and receive read receipts.
