Canada has a new face representing hip-hop in 2021 and it’s none other than GerkOne! 2020 was a big year for the up and coming rapper who made his return to the scene mid last year with a bang! First came the single “No Limit” that’s took YouTube and streaming platforms by storm. “I wasn’t expecting to hit the kinds of numbers I did right away. But I’m glad I did because it’s just pushed me to go bigger and better every time I’m putting the work in. -GerkOne” then “Real As It Gets” came and hit even harder with its boost from World Star Hip Hop it was also picked up by blogs and similar sites worldwide and spread like wildfire.
GerkOne’s talent was then recognized by multi platinum recording artist “The Game” where his single “No Limit” was given a placement on the mixtape “Who Got Game” shortly after gaining even more recognition when the New York legend Jadakiss appeared on the single “Big Bad Bruin” that headlined GerkOne’s debut Album “Pardon My Attitude” everyone started getting they’re feet wet in the wave, Pardon My Attitude did well over 200k streams it’s first month and is still growing it’s numbers across all streaming platforms. It’s 2021 now and lockdowns and Quarintine orders in Canada are still standing strong but that doesn’t seem to be slowing down this artist. GerkOne has been teasing new songs and an entirely new album “Pardon My Atti2ude” set to release some time mid to late 2021. Now we can only watch and see what the rest of the year brings for this up and comer.
