Edmonton police have issued an Amber Alert for a 8-year-old kid who they say was stole from school by his mom Friday afternoon.
Police said Noah Ducharme was taken from Waverley Elementary School in the city’s east end.
“It is believed that Noah is in imminent danger,” police said in a news release.
Noah is four-feet tall and weighs around 70 pounds.
He has short brown hair and was wearing a dark green hoodie, light coloured jeans, and yellow and black Nike prescription glasses.
Police say Noah’s mom, Brianne Hjalte, is 31.
She is depicted as five-foot-seven, around 180 pounds, with dark shoulder-length hair, and was wearing a dark jacket and dark pants.
“The public is advised to not approach the suspect,” police said.
Police said the two are believed to be travelling in a 2008 Silver, Jeep Patriot with Alberta plate ZWK 844.

Waverley Elementary is a kindergarten to Grade 6 school in Edmonton’s Kenilworth neighborhood, a develop territory not a long way from the city’s refinery row.
Police trust Noah was snatched at 2:50 p.m. local time. The Waverley website says classes are expelled at 3:30 p.m.
