Hatke, Zara Sara Ali Khan and Vicky Kaushal play the lead couple in Zara Bachke. The director of the movie has since spoken out about not using Katrina Kaif.
Laxman Utekar responded to a query over the inclusion of actress Katrina Kaif in his film, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, which he is now preparing for release. In a recent interview, Laxman explained why he was unable to cast Katrina opposite Vicky Kaushal, who plays her husband in Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. According to Laxman, Katrina is unable to portray the part of a “middle-class joint family daughter-in-law.”
Laxman Utekar stated, “Meri language Katrina ko samajh aayegi tabhi kar paunga (laughs)” in an interview with Peeping Moon. I can only do this if Katrina can speak my language, she’s the small town’s heroine, right? Do you believe Katrina will resemble a small-town heroine in appearance? I would adore working with Vicky and Katrina if we were given a fantastic script.
She will also star alongside Vijay Sethupathi in the movie Merry Christmas, directed by Sriram Raghavan. She will also appear opposite Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra in Farhan Akhtar’s forthcoming movie Jee Le Zara.
