Jarmel Brownlee, also known by his stage name Casino Mel, an American rapper, songwriter, and performer. After a little stint with the law due to gambling, he turned to music and achieved significant success on the rap charts with hits like Trap Nigga, and No One.
Early Life and Career
Mel was born in Abbeville, South Carolina. A small town with a population of slightly over 5000 people. His success in hip-hop is proof that the biggest talents can come from the smallest of places. Growing up, he always dreamed of being an accomplished musician. He was influenced mostly by music icons Lil Wayne, T.I, and the late Tupac Shakur. He later signed with Carolina’s Five Star Empire record company. Since then, he’s released numerous albums making Mel, a household name.
Early Projects
Casino Mel’s first record was the critically acclaimed Casino My Religion, released on May 13, 2016. His excellent storytelling skills show throughout his songs. He was able to make a breakthrough in rap with genius songs such as Smoke & Drank, which are still trending today.
