Billy Eichner’s upcoming romantic comedy “Brothers” has been scheduled to debut in theaters next summer.

Set at Universal, the film will open on Aug. 12, 2022.

Eicher is starring in “Bros,” which centers on two gay men with commitment issues who endeavor a relationship. He’s additionally co-composing the content with the film’s chief Nicholas Stoller, whose filmmaking credits include “Neighbors” and its sequel, “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” and “Get Him to the Greek.”

The entertainer who will depict Eichner’s on-screen love interest has not been declared at this point.

Judd Apatow, whose extensive resume includes funny love stories, for example, “The Big Sick” and “Trainwreck,” is creating the film. Eichner will likewise fill in as chief maker.

“I’m honored that it’s me, but it should have been someone else 30 or 40 years ago,” he said. “I hear people talking about diversity and inclusion, but I often see gay people left out of those conversations. The comedy community, which has always been such a straight man’s game, has not been kind to openly gay men.”
