Shubman Gill, a cricket player, debuted the Indian trailers for the animated prequel Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse on Thursday. In the Hindi and Punjabi versions, he provides the voice for Pavitr Prabhakar, the Indian Spider-Man. The cricketer transformed into a superhero before entering the trailer premiere event by doing the iconic Spider-Man pose in front of the cameras. A paparazzo account recorded Shubman’s pose and later posted it to Instagram. The cricket player, decked out in a green printed shirt and white trousers, scaled the roof of a car and struck the iconic Spider-Man crouch. In character, he also claimed to blast out a web. At the occasion, all of the Indian trailers for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse were unveiled.
One day before its premiere in the US, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will have its theatrical debut in India on June 1. English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, Bengali, Kannada, and Malayalam are among the ten languages in which it will be available for viewing.
