Adipurush’s fifth day box office haul indicates the conclusion of its theatrical run as the Ramayana adaption starring Prabhas rapidly drops off and crosses the Rs 400 crore threshold.
The ambitious film by Om Raut, which had a successful opening weekend, experienced a dramatic drop of 75% on Monday and a subsequent dip on Tuesday.
The movie only made a meagre Rs 10 crore in all of India on Tuesday; the Hindi portion is thought to have contributed about Rs 5-6 crore.
Industry sources claim that Adipurush made Rs 10.80 crore overall, with a Hindi occupancy rate of roughly 11.16 percent. According to T-Series, the film has made Rs 375 crore by Tuesday.
While Salman Khan’s Eid release Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan (which made only about Rs 100 crore and was regarded as a flop) was beaten by Adipurush, it will now struggle to top T-Series’ own co-production, Tu Jhooti Main Makkaar. The Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor romantic comedy brought in Rs 149 crore in March.
