At any point wonder where Aaron Rodgers will play next? An ex-Packers teammate has the appropriate response.
Previous NFL defensive back Will Blackmon, who played with Rodgers and the Packers from 2006 to 2009, says the future Hall of Fame quarterback will head New Orleans next season.
“Next year, Aaron Rodgers will be a New Orleans Saint,” Blackmon told TMZ Sports.
Blackmon told the site that he actually keeps a good relationship with Rodgers, and he said that he wouldn’t be stunned in case he’s under center for Saints lead trainer Sean Payton in 2022.
“I can see Aaron Rodgers being a New Orleans Saint next year,” Blackmon added.
Drew Brees resigned during the offseason, and previous No. 1 in general pick Jameis Winston is required to take over as New Orleans’ starter this season. Blackmon accepts the previous Florida State item will not do what’s needed to keep his work another season.
Blackmon disclosed to TMZ Sports that Winston needs to eliminate his interceptions, and since the Saints will be without Michael Thomas to begin the season, he thinks Winston will struggle producing, which will open the entryway for Rodgers to join New Orleans the next year.
