Entrepreneurs play a key role in any economy, using the skills and initiative necessary to anticipate needs and bring good new ideas to market. Nurturing entrepreneurship can have a positive impact on an economy and a society in several ways. Byron Cole is one entrepreneur nurturing young minds.
Byron grew up in North West London Colindale and attended Edgware School. He then studied his A Level’s at John Ruskin College between 2000 – 2004 and later went on to study Business Economics at the University of Greenwich. An exceptional student, Byron was presented with the Best Learners Award at the House of Commons. This was just the beginning for Byron, since then he was unstoppable.
He developed a passion for entrepreneurship while in college and soon started attending property investment events. Whilst attending various events, he began to expand his network by talking to people that had experience in the field and expanded his knowledge. After leaving the University of Greenwich, he started his own property estate agency in London.
Byron’s journey was not a smooth sail. After years in this business, the business failed due to the credit crunch which left him with nothing. Then, he established his own Property Services Business which was under the umbrella of the BLC Group. It consists of many small to medium businesses including a luxury chauffeuring business, a corporate and personal branding business with clients such as EY, HSBC, Amex and the who’s who of the FTSE 100. He also invested in and co-founded a construction recruitment company known as Quint property solutions turning over several millions.
Byron is one of those people who practice what they preach. With his excellent business entrepreneurship skills, Byron achieved considerably in his life despite the hardships. His experiences, wisdom and practiced skills inspired him to write the number 1 best-selling book ‘Self Made’ and soon after he also started a podcast called Self Made. Through his podcast, Byron allows access to insights and experiences of other self made entrepreneurs like him. He interviews these entrepreneurs and allows them to discuss their journey and experiences in the field they have been successful in. He continues to expand on his businesses as well as share his knowledge through his books and mentoring new entrepreneurs through their own path to success.
