The series is set to make a big debut on Amazon Prime Video one year from now.
Donald Glover and Phoebe Waller-Bridge have joined to play the titular roles in an Amazon Studios TV adaptation of Mr. and Mrs. Smith, a 2005 film starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie as married rural suburban assassins. Glover and Waller-Bridge will likewise fill in as executive producers on the series.
Guava Island, Glover’s music-centric film with Rihanna, was an Amazon Original. Waller-Bridge made and featured in the Prime Video arrangement Fleabag. The two additionally shared scenes in Disney’s 2018 film Solo: A Star Wars Story; Glover played Lando Calrissian, and Waller-Bridge a droid named L3-37.
A year ago, Glover reunited with the cast of his previous NBC show Community in a virtual table read profiting COVID-19 aid ventures. His last collection, 3.15.20, was delivered in March.
