To get started with any of the curriculums offered at The Yaqeen Institute, you must first select the unit you would like to teach your students. Once selected, you will be given the option to download the curriculum kit. Once the curriculum is downloaded, all you have to do is follow the instructions and enjoy!

How should I be using these curriculum units?
This curriculum was designed to supplement any existing Islamic studies curriculum. The purpose of these units to enhance the overall classroom experience with relevant topics from today’s society. These can be incorporated into a lesson plan however you would like, whether that be daily, weekly, or monthly. You also don’t need to teach the entire lesson plan. You can easily pick out units from specific curriculums to help supplement any topics you are discussing.
How long is each unit?
Each unit contains anywhere from 3-5 lesson plans. Each one of these plans can take up to 50 minutes per lesson. However, these lessons can be shortened or extended depending our the individual needs of your classroom.
What is included in each unit?
Each of these units includes learning objectives, presentations, worksheets, and assessments.
Who is the curriculum for?
The curriculum was designed for high school students to be taught in Islamic schools. This includes students that are full-time as well as students who attend a weekend school. Community leaders can also use the curriculum to teach their youth groups.
Should I have an educational background to teach this content?
Ideally, it is best for someone to have a background in teaching Islamic Studies. However, this curriculum was created for all levels of teaching experience. The curriculum includes step-by-step directions and explanations making it is easy for a less experienced teacher to teach the units. The units can also easily be built upon by someone with a higher level of Islamic Studies teaching experience.
The Curriculum at Yaqeen will continue to be expanded upon. Our mission is to provide Islamic Study teachers of all experience levels or even the local community with the curriculums needed to help educate today’s Muslim youth.
