For the Galaxy Watch 4, Samsung first promised software updates for up to four years, although this isn’t really a firm commitment. The software support for the outdated smartwatch, however, seems to be coming to an end. The Galaxy Watch 4 has little chance of making it to Wear OS 6, as Wear OS 5.1 appears to be a minor update based on Android 15.

However, software support for the Galaxy Watch 4 has been better than it usually is for the initial generation of any product line. From Wear OS 3 to Wear OS 5, it has enjoyed a successful run with software updates.
