Pixel Weather is now available for the Pixel 6 and beyond, including the Tablet, as was revealed with the October 2024 (Feature) Drop two weeks ago.

The com.google.android.apps.weather background service, which powers the current city temperatures in Google Clock, is getting a makeover with Pixel Weather. Simply select “Update” from the Google Play Store.

A “Weather” icon will appear in the app grid once version 1.0.20240910.x has been installed. As part of the setup procedure, you should accomplish the following:

Permit app alerts and accurate location
To “Make Pixel Weather your primary source for notifications,” tap your profile avatar in the upper-right corner and select Pixel Weather settings. The Google app’s “Weather forecasts” notification must be disabled.
Restart your device as a precaution to ensure that any installed widgets and In summary, open Pixel Weather instead of the earlier Google Weather app.
Your stored locations will sync between devices if you log in using your Google Account. Swipe left or right to remove a location from the main list. Choosing a city reveals a local history that mirrors the state of affairs today.

You can rearrange everything except the hourly prediction (and AI weather report) by holding down on a card. Each saved city has its own customizations, and tablets and foldables have a two-column layout. Precipitation, wind, sunrise and sunset, UV index, air quality, visibility, humidity, and pressure are among the variables that are available.

The weather map, which is accessible in the US, UK, and most European nations (with the exception of Italy and Luxembourg), displays a 6-hour precipitation forecast. Google Nowcasting powers it.

To modify Weather units, theme, and settings, tap your avatar in the upper-right corner. You can configure precipitation notifications by city and receive the weather prediction for your current location every evening.

Google announced a pollen count block for the UK, Germany, France, and Italy with the October Pixel Drop.
