iPhone 16 Display Production to Begin Soon, Key Features Revealed: Details Inside

Apple has announced that it would shortly start producing the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro displays. The screens for Apple’s forthcoming iPhone 16 series will go into production in June of next month. The manufacturer hopes to mass-produce the iPhone 16 series screens in response to the popularity of the iPhone 15 series.

Displays for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro will soon be produced by Apple, according to Ross Young, CEO of DSCC, a company that specializes in smartphone display chains. Expected to be produced in large quantities are both of these cellphones. The iPhone 16 Pro Max, which is expected to be released this year, might also have a better battery than its predecessor, according to TF Securities International analyst Ming Chi Kuo.

A recent leak of the iPhone 16 Pro Max’s dummy units, showing the size of the display in this series, was made public by Chinese tipster Majin Bu. Based on the photograph, it appears that the iPhone 16 Pro Max will sport a 6.9-inch display—a bigger screen than the 6.7-inch model that came before it. Notably, this premium iPhone model from Apple was the best-selling smartphone globally in the first quarter of 2024.

Furthermore, Apple has doubled its production of iPhones in India. Prime Minister Modi recently stated that every 7th iPhone sold worldwide is made in India. With the increasing demand for Made in India iPhones, India has become the world’s second-largest mobile manufacturing country. Sales of iPhones made in India have surged by 19 percent year-on-year, leading to record levels of iPhone sales in the country. These developments have been attributed to the Government of India’s PLI scheme.

In the meantime, Apple expects to release iOS 18 next month, which will include AI functionality for iPhone users. On-device AI features for the iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Watch will be part of the new operating system. Until previously, on-device AI features were exclusive to Android users, so this is a big breakthrough. iPhone users will benefit from a variety of on-device AI technologies in the upcoming iOS 18, which will make their tasks easier.
