Samsung Launches Galaxy A35 and A55 in India, Prices Start at 30,999

Samsung, a Korean manufacturer of smartphones, has unveiled the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55, two new mid-range models in the Galaxy A series. Following their 2023 launch, the smartphones are the replacements for the Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A54 models.

Powered by the company’s proprietary Exynos chipsets, the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A5 smartphones are expected to receive Android updates for four years.

Pricing in India for the Samsung Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55

With 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage, the Samsung Galaxy A35 costs ₹30,999 and ₹33,999, respectively. Wonderful Iceblue, Wonderful Lilac, and Wonderful Navy are the available color options.

At ₹39,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage variant, ₹42,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage variant, and ₹45,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB internal storage variant, the Galaxy A55 is highly priced. Fantastic Iceblue and Fantastic Navy are the available color options.

The specs of the Samsung Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55

Operating on Android 14 out of the box, with Samsung’s One UI 6.1 on top, are the Samsung Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55. It’s stated that the devices will receive security updates for five years and Android updates for four years.

The Full HD+ Super AMOLED 6.6-inch display on the new Galaxy A series smartphones has a refresh rate of 120Hz. Display protection is absent from the Galaxy A35, but Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection is included with the Galaxy A55.

Exynos 1380 is the chipset that powers the Galaxy A35, whereas Exynos 1480 powers the Galaxy A55. There is a third variant of the Galaxy A55 that has 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage, while the Galaxy A35 is available in two variants: 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB.

Triple cameras are included with the Galaxy A35: an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 5MP macro sensor, and a 50MP primary camera. The device features a 13MP selfie camera on the front.

A 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 5MP macro sensor make up the triple camera setup of the Galaxy A55, on the other hand. Video calling is possible with its 32MP selfie camera.

A 5,000mAh battery that supports 25W charging powers the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55. The charging brick is not included in the package with the smartphones, it should be noted. In terms of dust and water resistance, both gadgets have an IP67 rating.
