As per the report, the smartphone manufacturer intends to introduce an affordable foldable phone for the first time since it unveiled the first Galaxy Z Fold in 2019.
Samsung reportedly wants to compete with other smartphone manufacturers in China, where it has a double-digit market share, by releasing a more affordable version of its foldable phone. But according to the report, a possible recession might result in a strong market for high-end smartphones, which might the company’s sales if a more reasonably priced model is introduced alongside the more costly book-style foldable.
Details of the alleged Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 and regular Galaxy Z Fold 6 appeared online last month, providing with an idea of what to expect from the upcoming foldable phones, even though there is no word on what features and specifications will be available on the less expensive Galaxy Z Fold 6 model.
With a largely incremental feature set, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 debuted last year.
