The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 sub-flagship phone, the OnePlus Ace 3, is expected to be unveiled by OnePlus in China tomorrow. Key specifications for the device have been steadily released by the company prior to launch. It released some posters today to verify the size of its battery.
Verified OnePlus Ace 3 battery dimensions
The Ace 3 is going to be the first phone in the world with a 5,500mAh Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 battery. The four-year lifespan of the battery makes it ideal for extended use. SuperVOOC S power management chip integration results in an industry-leading 99.5 percent discharge efficiency, which is a result of effective energy utilization.
7.4 hours of video playback, 15.7 hours of Douyin short videos, and 8.7 hours of gameplay on “Honor of Kings” are among the notable performance metrics of the Ace 3’s battery. These are all before another recharge is needed. Additionally, the Ace 3’s compatibility for 100W rapid charging has been verified by the manufacturer. Unfortunately, wireless charging will not be supported.
The 6.78-inch OLED panel that the OnePlus Ace 3 will have is supplied by BOE and has a refresh rate of 120Hz and 1.5K resolution. There will be a 16-megapixel front camera in addition to a 50-megapixel (Sony IMX890, OIS) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera device. It may retail for a starting price of 3,299 Yuan (~$465) and come in three variants: 12GB+256GB, 16GB+256GB, and 16GB+1TB. Three shades, namely Star Black, Moon Sea, and Sand Gold, will be accessible for purchase.
Markets including India, Europe, and North America will see the OnePlus Ace 3 rebranded as the OnePlus 12R. On January 23, there will be a global launch event for the OnePlus 12 and the 12R.
