After receiving a number of minor updates, Kia unveiled the 2025 Carnival MPV in October of last year. But the MPV with a hybrid drivetrain has just been unveiled by the South Korean automaker.
The 1.6-liter, four-cylinder, turbocharged engine of the new Kia Carnival hybrid is mated to an electric motor producing 72 horsepower. Alongside a 6-speed automatic transmission, the hybrid powertrain generates a combined output of 242 BHP and 368 Nm.
The Kia Sportage and Sorento models that are sold internationally share the same powertrain. The Carnival hybrid’s fuel economy is anticipated to be comparable to that of the 37 mpg Sorento hybrid, despite the fact that exact numbers are unknown.
The 2025 Carnival has a new grille, updated headlights, a modified bumper, and new wheels, all of which are based on the brand’s EV9 model. The 2025 Kia Carnival’s interior features a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system, two 14.6-inch entertainment screens for the backseat passengers, a fully digital instrument cluster, and a ton of other linked technology.
Based on reports, the hybrid powertrain is expected to be offered in all variants with the exception of the base ‘LX’ trim. In the upcoming months, Kia is anticipated to introduce the Carnival hybrid on a global scale.
